Statement of Faith

The sole basis for our belief is the resurrection of Jesus. It was this event that ultimately ushered in the “new deal”, the new covenant we’re under with God. God made Jesus, who knew no sin or wrong, to be a complete payment, once for all, for our wrong, err and sin. And gave us His righteousness to receive freely by faith. When we as broken, failing individuals believe and trust that He (Jesus) is our only hope for rightness with God and eternal life, He miraculously replaces our old “dead” heart with his new heart that’s alive and whole! Our spirits, once broken and dead, are made whole and abundantly alive by that resurrected Spirit of Jesus. It’s all Jesus, none of our works or performance. Jesus plus nothing, no additives.

The core message of the Christian faith is death and new life. At it’s root, Christianity is about dying and waking up a brand new person. A fundamental exchange occurs in our spirits at the moment we place our faith in Jesus for that new life. Through our own spiritual death, burial and resurrection, we become righteous saints, children of God. And this exchange is real and actual, not symbolic or figurative. Paul tells us this in his letter to the Galatians. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in Jesus, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

The life we live now is about taking this love and life that Jesus has given to us and sharing it with those around us. As a compass always points north, we always point people to Jesus.
